The CEF provides HOPE by relying on its volunteers to carry out our mission of Research, Advocacy and Education. At the present time, the CEF is run completely by less than 20 dedicated volunteers. We are a FAST growing organization and can really use your help. If you’d like to become part of an organization that is raising funds for BREAKTHROUGH brain cancer research, we invite you to get on board and join the CEF team. Volunteer Positions

Sponsorships Co-Chair

The sponsorship co-chair would be responsible for proposing and acquiring sponsorships from local companies as well as making application inquiries and application online. This entails developing and administering a strategy/plan to obtain sponsorships. Also the sponsorship co-chair would assist running sponsorship committee meetings and manage sponsorship committee members.


Sponsorship Committee Member

Sponsorship committee members would be responsible for supporting the Sponsorship Chair and Co-Chair, attending committee meetings, and working with other committee members to attain additional sponsorship.


Grant Writer

The grant writer is responsible for researching viable grant opportunities, the preparation and submission of grant applications, letters of inquiry, and formal proposals according to grant guidelines. Also the position entails maintaining follow up contact with grant maker regarding the status, results, and potential feedback.


Fund Raising Co-Chair

The purpose of this position is to raise funds for the CEF

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

Implementing large scale raffle for Upscale Cruise and Airfare. Scheduling sales spots in Seattle/Eastside area and scheduling volunteers to sell raffle tickets.
Assist in promoting, obtaining sponsorship and selling tickets for the Teresa LeDoux-Peterson Tribute Bike Ride
Schedule/coordinate/manage possible fashion show and luncheon.
Coordinate/Manage several smaller fund raising activities


Fund Raising Committee Member

Committee members would be responsible for supporting the Fund Raising Chair and Co-Chair, attending meetings delegated by the Chair, and working with other members to facilitate the fund raising events coordinated by the Fund Raising Committee and Chair.


CEF Community Outreach Spokesperson

The Spokesperson would be responsible for attending community events and speaking on behalf of the CEF. The goal of the spokesperson is to raise community awareness about Glioblastoma and the CEF.


General Event Volunteer

Volunteers would assist in the running various fund raising events through out the year. The position would vary responsibilities may include staffing various local event booths/tables, selling raffle tickets, and calling potential and current constituents to inform them of CEF events/opportunities.


Online Auction Chair

The online auction chair would be responsible for auction set up and web page building through cMarket. Duties also include procuring, data entry, auction promotion, auction management, and auction fulfillment (ensuring that payments have cleared and patrons received the items purchased.

The Christopher S. Elliott Glioblastoma Brain Tumor Research Fund (CEF) is operating on behalf of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and world leader in brain cancer research. CEF seeks to find a cure for Glioblastoma through Research, Advocacy, and Education. All proceeds go to fund the Christopher S. Elliott Neuro Oncology Lab at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute - a world leader in brain cancer research.
