Know Your Treatment Options
What to do if you have been diagnosed with Glioblastoma
|
- Contact Us
- Find a brain tumor center that offers advanced treatment options versus one standard treatment for all—standard meaning: six weeks of standard radiation plus Temador (chemo drug)
- Prior to surgery, complete paperwork to arrange for live tissue to be saved separate from pathology requirements
- Request genetic testing and DNA sequencing on your live brain tumor sample to develop an individualized treatment plan for you
- Work with a neuro-oncologist to schedule MRI’s more routinely than standard protocol
IMPORTANT: Connect with a brain tumor center as soon as possible even if you don’t receive immediate treatment there. They can review your records, guide your treatment plan, provide second opinions and enroll you in studies. CEF can assist you in this process. Contact Us
